CANDLE MEDITATION
This simple meditation is perfect for the beginner or experienced.
In a dark room sit on the floor in a comfortable position, perhaps with a pillow underneath you or seated upright against a wall. Place a lighted candle in front of you. Gaze at the flame through half-closed eyes for a few moments. Then close your eyes and focus on the after-glow of the flame behind your eyelids. Allow the light to fill your mind. If you find that your attention drifts, open your eyes a little and look at the flame. Then close your eyes again when you feel ready. Continue for as long as feels comfortable.
